Leniea A Beamon

Leniea Audrey Beamon, born Leniea Audrey Sanders, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Rosetta P. Taylor and Leonard Sanders Sr., Leniea lived a life marked by love, devotion, and creativity. She proudly served as a captain in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged to embrace her most cherished role — a stay-at-home mother. Leniea was a devoted wife to Virgil Beamon for 40 wonderful years. Their relationship was full of affection and joy. He lovingly called her “Boobie,” and they were known for stealing kisses and sharing sweet moments throughout their marriage. She was a loving and present mother to Demetrius Beamon, Veronica Napier, and Joshua Beamon. Her daughter, Veronica, was named in honor of Leniea’s sister — a testament to the deep bond she shared with her siblings. She adored her children and took immense pride in being “Nana” to her grandchildren: Carter, Raynie, Gabriel, Randy, Raya, and Kyan. From a young age, Leniea had a passion for dance — competing in contests at Kings Island alongside her brother and sister. She was the life of the party at every family gathering and especially loved dancing with her husband around their 25th anniversary. She dreamed of one day owning a home by the water and always found joy in vacationing with family, admiring beautiful homes and peaceful views. A woman of deep faith, Leniea grew up in the church and followed in her mother’s footsteps as a gifted singer in the choir. Around the age of 25, she gave her life to Christ and continued sharing her voice and testimony with others. She remained a devoted member of Sanders Temple Church for more than 40 years. Leniea shared an unbreakable bond with her siblings, especially her sister Veronica Davis — affectionately known as “Gagie.” The two were inseparable. If one did something, everyone knew the other was right there too. Her brother, Leonard Sanders Jr., was a frequent visitor who brought joy, laughter, and warmth into her home, creating cherished memories for Leniea and her children. Leniea’s legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta P. Taylor, and her father, Leonard Sanders Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Virgil J. Beamon; her sisters, Veronica “Vicky” Davis (Everett Davis), Beatrice Sanders, and Curtina Sanders; her brother, Leonard Sanders Jr.; her children, Demetrius Beamon, Veronica Napier (Eric Napier), and Joshua Beamon; her grandchildren, Carter Robinson, Raynie Robinson, Gabriel, Randy “Manny” Robinson, Raya Napier, and Kyan Napier; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
