Mary Alice Wilson

A Time to Be Born: Mary A. Wilson was born on April 2, 1939, to the Union of James and Zelma Rowe in Talladega, Alabama. A Time to Live: She united in holy matrimony on July 22, 1958 to Walter Wilson Jr. Soon after they moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. To this Union two sons were born, Broderick K. Wilson, Andre L. Wilson, and one daughter Rhonda F. Wilson. Mary worked for Morgan Linen prior to retirement in the early 2000s. Walter and Mary committed their lives to Christ and joined Forest Manor United Methodist Church where she served as usher for many years. She often volunteered with Gleaners Food Bank to provide food for those in the community. Mary very much enjoyed gardening, producing many flowers and vegetables during her time here. She also loved staying active, doing puzzles and other mind games, spending time with her family, and cooking great meals for them. Her favorite TV shows were The Young and The Restless, Days of Our Lives, Judge Judy, Family Feud, and many other games shows. Mary always embraced opportunities to share and give to others, living by the motto “My Father in Heaven is rich and supplies all my needs.” A Time to Die: She departed this life on April 30, 2025, at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Children: Broderick K. Wilson, Andre L. Wilson, and Rhonda F. Wilson all of Indianapolis, Indiana. Grandchildren: Broderick Wilson Jr., Tristan Morrison, India Wilson, Jasmine Banks (Kamaren), Brandi Wilson, Mikia Davis, Maeghan Wilson. Great grandchildren: Broderick Wilson III, Braylon Wilson, Kylei Wilson, Kenadi Passley, Kamaren Banks Jr., Sa’Mya Boyd, Quenton Boyd Jr., Trea’Sure Wilson, Jewels Perkins, Charm Perkins, King James Perkins, Clover Perkins, and Chase Morrison. Siblings: Mattye Franklin, Jean Moore, Helen White, Josephine Boyd, Marion Mickler, Robert Rowe, Charles Rowe, Jerome Rowe, Milton Rowe. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zelma Rowe, husband Walter Wilson Jr., siblings- 4 brothers and 3 sisters, and great granddaughter Serenity Nicole Wilson.
