Michael J Johnson

Michael Jermaine Johnson was born on November 27, 1978 to Larry Johnson Sr. and Tanya Y. Thomp- son. Michael attended school in the Warren Township school district. Mi- chael received his G.E.D. along with a certification in welding and several other Academic awards. Michael was employed with Smithfield Foods. Michael was a human being that lived life to the fullest. He had his biblical life, as well as a life in the Indianapolis streets amongst his friends that he shared an admiration with. Michael was known for his smile, laughing, joking, and being the life of the party. To many, he was known as “Mike G”., the kid that spent his childhood years with his many friends on 34th St and 42nd St. Michael enjoyed listening to music, creating and performing his own music and poetry, and mentoring young men. Michael confessed his love for Christ at an early age, and had an affinity for the bible and its teachings. So much so, that many of his friends and church associates often called him “Minister Michael Johnson”. In his quest to better himself and follow his calling, Michael founded “Men of Vision” mentoring. During this time Michael also wrote his first book, “I Am King”. Michael had a desire to help people in any way that he could, which led him to be an organ donor. He was a hero, and his life was not in vain, as he will continue to live on through others. Michael received the most joy from being a father to his daughter Myonna, and always felt that “Yonna”, as he affectionately called her, was one of his greatest accomplishments. Michael enjoyed being active. He enjoyed fishing, weight training, and trips to the casino. Michael enjoyed being outdoors in nature, and could spend hours on the fish bank. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family. Michael was lucky to have had two fathers that cared for him immensely, Larry Johnson Sr, who proceeded him in death, and his now father, Joseph Plummer. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL! Michael Johnson departed this life on June 25, 2024. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Myonna Jones Johnson. His mother and father, Tanya and Joseph Plummer. His brothers, Larry Johnson Jr. (Ranmeki) and Joseph Plummer Jr. His sisters, Joy Smith (Stephen), Michelle Keaton (Jay), Latoria Smith, and Nikki and Ashley Plummer. Uncles, Rodney Jones (Shirley), Robert Jones, Fredrick Thompson Jr. (Stacy), Melvin Johnson (Reedth), Lucas Johnson (Teresa), Ronald Johnson, and Henry Plummer. Aunts, Francis Ratcliffe, Evelina Mays (Robert), Joyce Avery, and JoAnn Bell. A great Aunt, Vivian Pulliam, and Grandfather, Fredrick Thompson Sr. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Honorary nephews, Kion Johnson, Stephen Smith III, and Sebastian Smith. Michael’s love and casino compan- ion, Tamaika White.
