RICHARD A. PRUITT, so affectionately know as “RICK” “SLICK 38 “ from his early childhood years. Was born April 21st 1966 in the city of Indianapolis, Indiana to Harry E. Pruitt, Sr. and Mary Charlene Stevenson Pruitt. Both proceeded him in going home to be with the Lord.Proceeding his parents death are his two brothers John A. Pruitt “Dubbie” and Lincoln L. Green, Jr. “Linky” Richard departed this life to live with Christ, Monday May 25th , 2026 in the evening. Richard attended the Indianapolis Public Schools, graduating from North Central High School after having attended Arsenal Technical High School. Rick was the definition of a family man. No matter what he loved in life cars, motorcycles, traveling, or anything else — family always came first. He had a way of making the people he loved feel protected, cared for, and important. Being around his family brought him genuine happiness, and you could see it in everything he did. He wasn’t just present physically; he made sure the people closest to him felt loved every chance he got. He had a deep love for cars and motorcycles that was part of who he was. He admired the beauty, power, and freedom that came with them. Whether he was detailing a car until it shined perfectly or taking a peaceful ride on his motorcycle, those moments brought him joy. It wasn’t about showing off it was about passion, peace, and pride in the things he loved. Riding and working on vehicles gave him a sense of freedom, but somehow, even in those moments, family was still at the center of his world because those were the memories he loved sharing with the people closest to him. He enjoyed hanging out with his big brother Harry and his favorite cousin Troy (3 Amigos).He enjoyed hanging out at all the functions, bike and car shows. Ricky’s love for motorcycles wasn’t just a hobby it was a true passion that became part of who he was. Riding brought him peace, excitement, and a sense of brotherhood that he cherished deeply. In 2002, that passion led him to become a proud member of the 317 Ryders, where he found lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories doing what he loved most. In 2019, he became the proud president of the Cadillac Club, where he brought people together through his leadership, passion, and love for classic style and beautiful cars But nothing lit him up more than his grandchildren. They had a special place in his heart that nobody could ever replace. He spoiled them with love, attention, laughter, and memories they’ll carry forever. Seeing him with his grandkids showed the softest, purest parts of him. He loved being their protector, their safe place, and their biggest supporter. The joy on his face around them said everything — being their grandfather was one of his greatest accomplishments and one of the roles he cherished most. He lived with love, loyalty, and passion, and the memories he created with his family will always live on. When Richard Departed from this earthly life, he was formally employed at Lockhart Cadillac , where he worked for several years and was highly respected in his role as a Detail Specialist. A husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend,, he leaves pleasant memories to those who survive him for his loving personality, dedication to friends, family and places of employment. Ricky leaves to cherish his memories, his wife , Tamica Pruitt, six children ; Riona Pruitt , Christopher Anderson , Alysha Douglas, Shawntez Pruitt , Alexis Pruitt and Jakeia Pruitt . Stepchildren ; Aspree Hamilton, Myron Hamilton , Tarron Martin 3 Bonus children Denzell Sanford , Sharmaine Barbee,Kie’Juan Hawkins. 1 brother Harry E. Pruitt, Jr. three sisters; Harriet Y. Smith Gaither(Steve) Charlotte J. Pruitt and Marcia D. Pruitt, 17 Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews , family and friends and all of Indianapolis, IN ( LOL ) to cherish his memory.
