Rosemary Digbie

Rosie as she was affectionately called by everyone who knew and loved her. She would light up the room with her smile, stylish church suits and nice hats. She was a woman of Fashion and her family would always joke about how sharp she was. Her fancy hats was the signature of Sister Digbie. Rosie had a special and unique relationship with all her grandchildren who she had special nicknames for. She always had words of encouragement for everybody and could pray Heaven down when needed. One thing she instilled in her children and her family was to hold on to Gods unchanging hands. She loved to shop and take trips to Gurnee Mills outlet Mall. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends and was always the life of the party with her dancing.She was the baby of 7 children and had to be the mother of those same 7 children. Rosie received her education at Indianapolis Public School #26 and went to Harry E. Wood High School , and studied for her GED but that didn’t stop her ambitious ways. On October 18, 1974 she married her best friend and the love of her life Edward Digbie. Rosie was a lover of music and more than anything she loved to Worship. She pushed herself and her family to greatness as she was a proud owner of D& D JANITORIAL alongside her late husband Edward DIGBIE . She also worked for Best Lock Corporation for 4 years and also worked at Uniroyal Tire Co. for 6 years. ROSEMARY ACCEPTED CHRIST at an early age where she was a devoted member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was in the Senior Choir where she sang “THIS MORNING WHEN I ROSE” and also on the Busy Bees Ministry under the leadership of the late Pastor David Lee Sr . for over 20 years and then later joined BEREAN Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Simmons. Rosemary Transitioned and went to her heavenly home on Tuesday December 16, 2025 at 9:59 pm surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend Edward Charles Digbie, her parents Romie and Virginia Brewer, a son Charles “Skip” Digbie, her grandson Latario Rose, a great granddaughter Shamiya Rose, a great grandson Darius Lee Jr, a brother Romie Brewer, 2 sisters Thelma Holmes and Georgie-Anna Beeler, and 2 friends Eddie & Bessie Beverly. Rosemary leaves to cherish in her memory her children Robert W. Miller Sr., Darack and Vincent Digbie Sr. and daughters Dorothy Dowdell (Fred), Shatona Reese-Robinson (Michael), Terri Quarles, bonus children Joyce, Kimberly, Robert “Petey”, Tyrone and Michael Miller, her grandchildren Robert 111 (Tina) and Eric Rogers, Sentra Rogers and Alexis Burrus, David 111(Shanelle), Triston (Martha), Edward, Tasia, Tiesha (Temario), Tenaya, Danita, and Darius Lee, Robert, Tyrone, Jazmine, Rosemary (Greg), Robria, Diamond, and Nashiree Miller, Melissa, Velissa, Serita, Latasha, Melanie (Yasin) Smith Crystal, and Vincent Digbie Jr, her brothers Charles (Bobra) and Eddie (Georgia) Beeler, & Garry Brown, a sister Earlene Tarrance, her golden Girls Mary Trotter, Frances Parks, & Pearline Lloyd, special friends Sue Jones, Verna Hewlett, Margie Abstone, and Josephine McCotry, 70 great grand kids, 25 great great grandkids, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who she loved dearly.
