Xavier Alexandrea Danielle Tate

The Life and Legacy of Xavier Alexandrea Danielle Tate Xavier was born October 18, 1984 in Newport Rhode Island. She was the Daughter of Odie Tate, III and Cheryll Johnson Tate. She attended Pike Township Metropolitan School District and graduated from Pike High School. She also attended classes at Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis. Xavier accepted Christ and was a member of Coppin Chapel AME Church. Xavier who many family and friends affectionately sometime called “Lump” was truly a strong and resilient individual who beat the odds that were up against her. Xavier was preceded in death by her father, Odie Tate, III; grandparents, Wanda Jean Martin, Odie Tate, Jr and Earl Johnson, Sr. Xavier lived an extraordinary life full of beauty and creativity. She enjoyed participating in the arts at an early age with involvement in Asante Children’s theatre and Madame Walker Youth in Arts programs. Her talents included singing, acting and dancing. Later in her life, Xavier was known for her self-taught skills as a makeup artist. She described her journey as “From crayons to makeup brushes”. Her talents were showcased in RAW artists’ productions in Indianapolis Indiana. Despite her health challenges Xavier remained strong and resilient, her last testament was “No matter what life throws at me, I’m not going to be negative about it. I’m going to take it and evolve.” Her positivity and kindness impacted so many individuals. Xavier added so much beauty to the world and others. Xavier was known for living life and telling it like it is. She loved sports and being the loudest fan for her nieces and nephews. She loved her family dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Cheryll Johnson Tate; sisters; Breacy'a Belton (Bernard); Briana and Brianca Evans; brother Lee Jackson, III (April); grandmother, Mary Johnson; nieces and nephews; La’Brea, Giavonnie, Azhiah, Bernard III, Aaliyah, Leeland, LeAsia, Annaya, Capri, Jaylen, Kyle, Blythe, her special cousin, Dr. Kimberly Martin and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends to remember her Incredible strength and courage throughout her brief life. . A New Life On Friday, April 21, 2023, Xavier departed this life on earth at the age of 38 years 6 months and 3 days.
