Carol Prim

Carol Jean (Clark) Prim was born September 12th, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Esther and William Clark SR. Carol’s love for the Lord began at an early age Joining New Garfield Baptist church as a young woman and her love to server the lord continued throughout her life. Carol was the younger sister of Carl, Louise, & Joyce. She was the older sister to Derwood, William, & Dirk Clark. She is proceeded in death by her sisters Barbara, Patricia and her father William Clark SR. She would go on to Attend and Graduate from Emmerich Manuel High School, along with her Siblings. After Highschool Carol attended Indiana University. After leaving she returned home and began her career as a salesperson for L.S. Ayers. She then moved into a role at Methodist hospital as an intake specialist then trainer. After this she then moved to her long-term role at ATT. She retired from ATT in 2020 after nearly 20 years of service. Carol met her husband Ron in 1983 when he returned from his time in the service. From the beginning the two were inseparable. They were married in 1985 and began a life together. They built a happy home together filled with laughter, love and of course Music. The two were known for their trademark wedding duet covering “Always by Atlantic Star”. Over the years it was clear she chose to be with her best friend and partner in crime. Carol was a woman that loved to be in service of the Lord. Whether that be spending time evangelizing with the homeless or just reaching out to a friend to help them find a church home. She loved spreading the good news of the gospel. After attending New Garfield Carol became a member of Victory Christian Center where she met lifelong friends John and Alicia Ramsey, and later transitioned to New Life Worship Center where she was a devoted member of the choir for 22 plus years. Carol was an excellent mother an ardent supporter of her three children William, Veronica, Aaliyah, and (Dog) Dakota. Her Children were her biggest priority and she strived to put their needs and interest ahead of her own. Whether it was cheering at a sporting event, standing in the crowd during a performance or concert she made time to always be present and go above and beyond. She instilled many things in her children but above all was a love for helping others & Faith. Carol was a ray of sunshine to any who crossed her path. Her friends were a huge part of her life. She loved them all; she was more than a friend, but more a sister to them, as they were to her. Carol would later become a grandmother, or GiGi as she liked to be called. She might have taken more joy in this than she did raising her own children. Her grandson Marciellion was her greatest joy, she was always trying to make sure he knew how much GiGi loved him. After she retired, she spent her days with him teaching him things from the alphabet all the way to spelling his own name. Her last day was spent bringing in the new year with her MJ. Her love for him will light his life forever. Carol’s life, here on earth may have ended, but began it with the Lord on January 2nd, 2024. She leaves behind an enormous amount of love for her nieces, nephews, god children and “adopted” children. Her love, her light, and her grace will forever be with us. “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: For his mercy endureth forever”
