Karolyn Wilson

Karolyn Jeanette Walker was born January 30, 1948 to Karl and Zetta Walker in the hills of Hazard, Kentucky. Karolyn, as a small child moved from Hazard, Kentucky to Indianapolis, Indiana with her parents. God's Assignment for Karolyn was now put into place as His special chosen one, to help nurture and guide all of her siblings to follow. In school, Karolyn enjoyed Sewing and made clothes for herself and others. As her sewing skills developed, Karolyn was hired by a teacher to make Dickies. She also loved going to Edna Martin Christian Center where she developed skills that she would use throughout her lifetime of service to others. Karolyn received her Masters Degree in Social Work while attending Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She also attended Indiana Business College, and Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Indiana. In addition to her studies, she practiced Yoga, and Tai Chi. Karolyn spent most of her working years at Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company. She spent almost 30 years at Lilly in various positions including Executive Administration and Marketing Administration. She was later employed with the Indianapolis Public School system as a Teaching Assistant. Karolyn Jeanette Wilson departed this earthly life on March 20, 2025 at the age of 77 years old. She was preceded in death by both parents, Karl and Zetta Walker, (2) Brothers, Don Lee Walker Sr. and Lonnie A. Walker and sister Frances L. Walker. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughter, Robin Lynette Richardson of Sanford, Florida and daughter Lori Wilson Muhammad of Smyrna, Georgia. Grandchildren, Torri, Kennedy, and Miles Richardson of Florida and Tiy-E Muhammad II of Georgia. Her siblings, Linda Ann Daniels of Atlanta Georgia, and Kathleen Wilson, and Jane White of Indianapolis. Also, brother James Reid of Ohio, and baby brother Ronnie B. Walker (Teresa). And a big host of nieces and nephews who feel the impact of such a great loss. Karolyn was a lifelong learner and teacher who exceled in everything she set out to accomplish in life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, especially her family and friends. Please pray for our entire family, especially her daughters, Robin and Lori
