On Sunday, July 5, 2026, our beloved Latangelia Faye English, affectionately known to all as “Tammy,” peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of unconditional love, unforgettable laughter, and cherished memories. Tammy was born on December 13, 1962, in Birmingham, Alabama, to her loving parents, Juanita Arrington and Curtis London, who preceded her in death. During her teenage years, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she attended Carver High School and studied cosmetology. She later made Indianapolis, Indiana, her home, where she completed her education at Manuel High School. Tammy dedicated her life to caring for others through a career in healthcare. She began working in the dietary department at Churchman Nursing Home before continuing her calling as a Home Health Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant with American Senior Communities at Rosewalk. Her spirit, caring heart, and willingness to serve others made a lasting impact on countless lives throughout her career. In 1981, Tammy met the love of her life, Robert English. Together they built a life rooted in love, friendship, and family, welcoming two sons, Robert “Deon” English and Keith English. Their enduring love story culminated in marriage in January 2008. Although Robert and their beloved son, Deon, preceded her in death, Tammy’s unwavering love for her family remained the foundation of her life. Tammy was a woman full of personality. She was quick-witted, outspoken, and never afraid to tell it like it was. Anyone who knew her could probably hear her favorite saying: “I keeps it all the way real.” Her honesty, humor, and simply being her authentic self drew people to her and left them smiling. A devoted woman of faith, Tammy was a faithful member of The Rock Missionary Baptist Church. She found joy in worship, gospel music, and praising the Lord. She also loved singing her favorite oldies but goodies, dancing whenever the music played, traveling, and trying her luck at the casino. Above all, she treasured time spent with family, especially lively gatherings around the card table playing spirited rounds of Spades, where laughter echoed and memories were made. Tammy’s greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother of four, and a loving great-grandmother of five. Her love, wisdom, strength, and unforgettable personality will continue to live on through each of them. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted son, Keith English; her beloved grandchildren Kevaughn,Kamyria,Kentrell,& Kaynia, her treasured great-grandchildren; her siblings, Tony Arrington and Adrian Cain, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews,cousins, extended family members, and countless special friends who became family through the many years of love, laughter, and lasting memories they shared together. Her life was truly well lived, and her legacy of laughter and love will never be forgotten.
